Lighthouse Conversation: Cauldron of Courage with Robin Rorex

So…it’s been a minute since I’ve blogged, well over a year actually! In that time I went from the uncertainty and curiosity of “Chell in the Hallway” to the confidence of landing on “Live Your Best Light”. You could say that means I selected door in the hallway, one that after testing out several other handles, finally sat in alignment with my intuition.

The doors were tempting and many…I felt like The Good Place’s Tahani as she had a test to make it down her own hallway without opening any doors, knowing that everyone behind each door was talking about her. How DO you pass up a room where Freddie Mercury and Winston Churchill are discussing you without going inside?! Tempting for sure, but that wasn’t her door.

So, what does it mean to “live your best light”? My heart tells me it’s when all of the pieces of myself agree that we’re on the same team, and I stand proud in all of who I am, despite the fear and doubt, for all to see. Only then can my true light, the authentic message that my soul joyfully wants to share, come through.

Today I launched Season 2 of my podcast, Lighthouse Conversations with Chelley Canales, and I had the pleasure of interviewing Robin Rorex, a facilitator, activator and storyteller who is definitely living her best light.

Robin is committed to being the bridge between the wisdom of spirit and the reality of being human, and she's bringing us along for the ride. The cultural landscape is shifting right now to a place where traditionally feminine qualities are now being more valued in leadership roles in the workplace, and Robin's work as a healer and sister circle facilitator is a beacon to those who are navigating these changing waters. Her commitment to this calling, combined with her twenty-plus years of senior-leadership at Nike, uniquely positions her to be one of the leading voices in this cultural shift.

Robin is one of the incredible sisters I had the privilege of connecting with at Rebecca Campbell's Rise Sister Rise retreat at Omega Institute, who have not only inspired me with the work that has been activated and put out into the world in the short amount of time since the retreat, but who have reminded me, as Robin puts so beautifully, to make every step I take a walk towards my own heart so that by healing myself, I can better serve the world.

Robin’s work holding space for women to gather and share their voices creates an uplifting and empowering cauldron of courage. Thank you for sharing your light, Robin.
